Rachel Green, Executuve Director of www.rhizome.org for my viewpoint the most interesting platform for new media art and interaktiv art positions, is now an curatorial fellow at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York. In her book she goes back to the roots, where interaktive positions might come from. So you can find the Touch Cinema from Valie Export, or the way to deal with cinema and live like Cindy Sherman. But mainly there are positions to find on a website, like Mouchette, a very "female" site since 1996. More and more themes in Internet Art are working with the social and political possebillities of interaction. The focus on "Infowar" at the Ars Electronica 1998, marked the new situation. Data Visualisations and Communication Platforms became part of the Artworld. But beside those positions, "the theatricalization of all spaces, which have been developing via the rise of entertainment culture" is another point of interest of Rachel Green. Since "privacy is obsolet" big parts of Artwork are working like Television. Everybody is on stage. Internet Art is another field of "Art in open Space" and Rachel Green gave us a map to find this Artwork, creating her platform.
